『The Ultimate Collection』というタイトルは必ずしも正確ではない。シュープリームスのアンソロジーとしては、モータウンが以前発売した『40 Golden Motown Greats』の方が完璧に網羅した選曲だったからだ。その代わりこの『The Ultimate Collection』はヒット曲の占める割合が高く、少ない出費でシュープリームスのいいとこ取りをしたいのなら、こちらがおすすめだ。おなじみの曲はすべて収録。大ヒットだけでなく中ヒットの曲も収録されているのがうれしい。（Gavin McNett, Amazon.co.uk）
